Objectives:To study sea-grass vegetation in mangroves of Vietnam and the Philippines to compare the ability of resilience and recovery of these ecosystem against natural impacts and human pressures. The followings were carried out
1. Field surveys about ecological factors affecting mangroves and seagrasses (especially soil, and water quality); 2). Evaluation of effects of sedimentation and water turbidity on photosynthesis ability of seagrass vegetation and effects of nutrients on distribution, growth and development of naturally regenerating seedling population in mangroves.
