Objectives:The following will be considered for the assessment of environmental and social impacts of Madagascan Island.
(1) The soil problems regarding erosion, silting, fertility, land availability.
(2) Fresh and sea water pollution due to inorganic chemicals such as hydrocarbure, telluric, and fertilizer.
(3) The effect of the changes of weather pattern on flora an fauna
(4) The effect of overexploitation on the biodiversity and habitat of forests, mangrove, coral reefs, pasture lands and marine resources
(5) The risk and uncertainty of social activities with respect to land tenure, migration, loss of income and social benefits, and public health affairs.
(6) Some measures of social, economic, and cultural activities on organizing and strengthening of water users associations, supporting integration between agriculture and other sectors, regulating migration, restoring traditional authority (DINA), and optimization of the use of fertilizers and chemicals.
(7) Results of the project will be generated some recommendations for mitigation, pollution control measures, promotion of reforestation, rational management of space and resources, protection of the sea and coastal area, designing the hydrologic network against pollution, precursors for silting and sand deposits and the protection of groundwater pollution.
