| Objectives: | To conduct scientific studies and research for maximizing opportunities for linking conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity resources to socio-economic development planning in the coastal zone of Vietnam. The followings have been considered to fulfill the objective |
| 1). Study the possibility to plant mangroves in artificial conditions (under the influence of humans) including seed sources, soil, planting techniques; 2). Study growth performance, biomass and productivity of different types of planted mangroves in Quang Ninh Province (Northern Vietnam) and Can Gio District (Southern Vietnam); 3). Organize training courses on planning sustainable development of coastal zone, Ninh Binh and Quang Ninh Provinces for local authorities and researchers from Universities and Institutions. |
